Commercial Software

Overview

A number of commercial software packages support IFC. Most of the systems provide IFC import and/or export as part of their standard package. Some companies offer an online update of the IFC converters, which can be installed and removed independent from the base software (Plug-in, Add-on). There are also third party products that enable IFC functionality for a base system.

• An online database to search for IFC compatible software is now available. You can search for application name, software vendor, application domain, supported IFC release and much more.

Certification

The IAI offers a facilitated certification program to interested software companies. This enables a basic level quality control and provides a platform to establish implementation agreements for better IFC support. See IFC-Developers or Certification & Validation for more developer support.
